Product Information
MaxLiving’s head weighting system is designed to strengthen your neck, correct your posture, and enhance the effectiveness of your chiropractic adjustments.
The system includes three pounds of weight, consisting of six .5-pound steel weight bars. Each bar measures 1 1/4 inches in width and 4 1/4 inches in length.
The frontal head weighting activates the body’s righting reflexes, causing it to re-position forward under the weighted head. This helps correct the body’s posture. Additionally, front-lateral head weighting causes the body to be laterally corrected in conjunction with the forward correction. Walking while using the system helps increase traction on tight, contracted soft tissues and strengthens weak postural muscles, while also re-educating the nervous system to the new, improved posture.
The head weighting system activates the body’s righting reflexes, strengthens neck muscles, improves posture, and reinforces the effectiveness of chiropractic adjustments.
To use the head weighting system, follow these assembly instructions:
- Attach the small straps to the front of the head.
- Pass the right-to-left strap through the plastic loop and secure it.
- Open the front-back strap and close it on top of the right-to-left strap, forming a “T” shape.
- Place the weight pouch on the velcro front of the harness and press it to conform around the head.
- Tighten the strap around the head.
- The wide strap around the head is the one that keeps its place. The straps on top are to prevent it from falling down your face if the strap around the head is too loose.
For the first exercise session, wear the harness for three to five minutes while walking up and down a walkway or on a treadmill.
If no reaction (lasting soreness, pain, or headache) is experienced, gradually increase the weight and the speed of walking. Add weight from the center pouches outward and as evenly from side to side as possible, unless instructed otherwise by your doctor. Walking while performing this rehabilitative treatment is encouraged. For maximum results, your MaxLiving Doctor may recommend using this item along with other items in the Homecare Kit.
