- Set of 2 Medium Progressive Rolls with Covers: These rolls are ideal for use during sleep. They promote healing and repair of damaged tissues by ensuring your spine is in an optimal position.
- Set of 2 Firm Progressive Rolls with Covers: These rolls provide additional support and stability for your spine during sleep.
- Set of 2 Pelvic/Lumbar Wedges: These wedges help support and align your pelvis and lumbar spine, promoting better posture and spinal health.
- Inflatable Wobble Cushion: This cushion provides support and comfort for your spine while you’re sitting or lying down.
- Dual-Purpose Cervical Traction Unit with Vertical Pull Adapter: This unit helps strengthen your neck muscles and improve your posture. It also includes a vertical pull adapter for added versatility.
- ML Homecare Kit Tote Bag: This tote bag is designed to carry all your homecare tools and supplies conveniently.
- Homecare Exercise Booklet: This booklet provides a quick-start guide to spinal correction at home, outlining a personalized homecare plan. Each exercise in the plan is designed to address specific issues in your spine and posture. By performing these exercises regularly, you can strengthen the muscles of your neck, back, and core, which helps protect your spine from the physical stresses of daily life. Similar to wearing rubber bands while you have braces, homecare that complements your chiropractic adjustments ensures the best results in the shortest amount of time.
Pelvic/Lumbar Wedge Set: Pelvic rotation can lead to subluxation and misalignment in the lumbar spine. The Triangular Pelvic Wedge Set is designed to facilitate easy and convenient spinal care at home by gently guiding your spine back into a proper and healthy position.
Inflatable Wobble Cushion: This is a fun and simple way to warm up and stretch your spine throughout the day.
Dual-Purpose Cervical Traction Unit: This is an essential component of any chiropractic home care routine. It’s simple and easy to use. In just a few minutes a day, it restores healthy cervical curvature by gently stretching the neck, creating space between the vertebrae.
Vertical Pull Adapter: The Vertical Pull Adapter attaches to the Dual-Purpose CTU, replacing the door stop. This allows for greater ease of use and a wider range of motion when using the Dual-Purpose CTU at home. The Vertical Pull Adapter extends the distance between the door and the Dual-Purpose CTU by approximately 6 inches, replicating the in-clinic experience.
How to Use the MaxLiving Homecare Kit
Head Weight Assembly Instructions:
- Attach the small straps to the front of the head.
- Thread the right-to-left strap through the plastic loop. Before securing it, open the other strap (front strap) and close it on top of the right-to-left strap. Then, Velcro close the right-to-left strap, forming a “T” shape.
- Place the weight pouch on the Velcro front of the harness and press it to conform around the head.
- Tighten the strap around the head.
- The harness can be washed.
Progressive Rolls
- Use the rolls on your bed.
- Place the prescribed roll in the appropriate position, usually in the middle of your neck and lower back.
- Try to fall asleep on the rolls. If you can’t, stay on them for as long as you feel comfortable, then switch back to your pillow.
- Gradually increase the time you spend on the rolls by 5 minutes each night until it becomes a habit throughout the night. This can take up to 6 months.
- You can also use the rolls during the day for 10 to 20-minute periods. This is especially helpful after exercise or physical activity.
Progressive Roll Covers
- Simply slip the covers over the progressive rolls for added comfort and durability. This 2-cover set enhances the durability and comfort of using the Progressive Rolls.
- They are washable by hand or machine, but it’s recommended to air dry them to prevent shrinking.
Pelvic/Lumbar Wedges
- Place the wedges on your bed or the floor.
- Follow your MaxLiving doctor’s instructions to place the appropriate wedge in the prescribed position.
- Use the wedges for at least 20 minutes each day, or as frequently as recommended by your doctor.
- You can also use the wedges throughout the day for 10 to 20-minute periods. This is especially beneficial after exercise or physical activity.
- The wedges can be used in conjunction with sleeping aids like progressive rolls.
Inflatable Wobble Cushion
- Place your Inflatable Wobble Cushion on a firm surface chair and use it for stability exercises while seated.
- Perform the exercises prescribed by your doctor, which typically involve side-to-side, front-to-back, and rotational movements.
- While maintaining control, try to feel your spine moving through the full range of motion. Remember, this is an exercise, so it’s normal to feel your muscles working.
- Perform these exercises twice a day, or as instructed by your doctor (in most cases, they can be done more frequently).
- The Inflatable Wobble Cushion can be inflated or deflated using a sport ball needle. This allows you to adjust the range of motion.
Dual-Purpose Cervical Traction Unit
- Perform cervical warm-up exercises, including twisting, flexing, and extending the head and neck.
- Adjust the connection so that the curved piece hangs slightly lower than the back of the head.
- Pull the handles down until they are stopped by the curved neck piece, with the handles at shoulder height.
- Place the curved piece behind the neck and position the padded handle under the chin or on the forehead. Place one hand on each handle end, with your palms facing the face.
- Hold the handles firmly and relax your knees so that some of your body weight is supported by the traction. The traction is controlled by bending your knees.
- Start with 10 repetitions and gradually increase to 60 repetitions per session.
- Incorporate deep diaphragmatic breathing while using the traction. Exhale completely and forcefully when you release the traction.
- If you experience any pain, ice your neck for 10 minutes.
Vertical Pull Adapter
- Place the Vertical Pull Adapter over the door and close it.
- Pull down on the lower loop of the door stop to ensure that the stopper is securely fastened.
- Adjust the height of the adapter so that the curved piece hangs slightly lower than the back of your head. Depending on your height, you may need to tie a knot in the rope to ensure that the Dual-Purpose Cervical Traction Unit is at the correct height.
- To adjust the height, remove the Dual-Purpose Cervical Traction Unit and the Vertical Pull Adapter from the door. Then, loosen or tighten the strap on the Vertical Pull Adapter to increase or decrease the strap length as needed.
